Curbside Pick up Window - now THAT's Pizza to GO!!!

...well, at least we're learning

It took us a full decade to put a dedicated take out window in our sister restaurant, BRAVO!... not so at Sal & Mookie's! 

In direct response to a myriad of guest requests, we have once again remodeled our one year old restaurant in order to create a dedicated, drive up, step out, and pick up CURBSIDE WINDOW.

The curbside pick up window is open for after work and weekend evening take out starting at 4:30 p.m. each day, Tuesdays - Sundays. **(Our lunch take out will still be handled inside the restaurant at the counter of the Pi(e) Lounge.)**

"Pirou-misu" the winner of the Pirouline Cooking Contest!

Wow!  We had a GREAT time last week at Sal & Mookie’s for the Pirouline Cookie baking contest.
The DeBeukaleur cookie executives chose 7 finalists to compete… Celebrity Chef Luis Bruno, Viking Cooking School executive Chan Patterson, and Viking Cooking School coordinator Kathleen Bruno were the three judges.

Entries included a huge Strawberry Cake with Pirouline studs, White Russian Pirouline Parfait, Pirouline Bread Pudding, a Pirouline torte, and more...

Interestingly enough, of all the entries, two members of our restaurant family made this final round:  Tanya Burns (Sal & Mookie's Service Manager) with her Pirouline Bread Pudding, and Hollie Hull (Mangia Bene Director of Operations) with "Pirou-misu"; her take on a classic Italian Tiramisu!

The winner?  Our very own HOLLIE HULL and her Pirou-misu (her entry is shown to the left).  Hollie and her husband Brian will be flown to NYC and stay in Times Square and get tickets to the Fancy Food show. WAY TO GO Hollie!

Our thanks to George Rork and Dale Currie of the DeBeukaleur Cookie Company for hosting this fun evening at Sal & Mookie's!  Almost 100 people enjoyed milk shakes sipped through hollow pirouline cookies, sampled every flavor and style of Pirouline made, and had the chance to watch the cookie-making process as it was featured on the Food Network program UNWRAPPED. 

Congratulations to this wonderful Mississippi company with worldwide reach!  Congratulations PIROULINE!!!
