who is open and who is not... post storm report
We hope you and your family - both nuclear and extended - are safe post the tornadic storms that hit Jackson yesterday. When catastrophe strikes, these are the times we all stop and take stock in those things that are most important and precious to us. Things can be replaced... loved ones cannot. Thank goodness the early reports are showing very little loss of life or limb in our community.
We send this out as a helpful note, as many are calling us on our cell phones and at the restaurants in search of place to eat and take a breather. Sal & Mookie's never lost power, and we sustained no damage, so things are operating as usual there.
BRAVO! and Broad Street lost power. Quick thinking by our Chef Louis LaRose (picture at left) resulted in the immediate delivery of a refrigerated truck from our friends at Sysco (the best business partners any restaurateur could ask for!). We were able to quickly get all of our fresh produce, meats, fish and refrigerated groceries into the truck and it stayed cold and crisp all night long. A similar process was happening at Broad Street, but the power came on at 6:15 p.m., so we were able to backtrack and get all things up and running for a 7 a.m. opening today. BRAVO!'s power came on at 9:30 a.m. today, so we are spending the morning and early afternoon deep cleaning our empty walk ins and getting ready for dinner service, and the Symphony special, tonight starting at 5 p.m.
So, to summarize, all of our restaurants are open: Sal & Mookie's and Broad Street for lunch service Saturday, BRAVO! joining for dinner service at 5 p.m. tonight. Take out will be in full swing at all three restaurants, and, for your convenience, menus for all three restaurants are attached by clicking below

Thank you and best wishes for a speedy recovery from these storms....
The Families of BRAVO!, Broad Street and Sal & Mookie's.
