Swing de Paris performs on the Pi(e) Patio for Fondren After 5 this Thursday, Oct 1st from 5 - 8 p.m.!

Swing de Paris is a jazz group specializing in the gypsy jazz style of Django Rheinhardt. They are comprised of Tim Avalon on guitar, David Keary on guitar, Dr. Richard Pharr on upright bass, and Allison Jenkins on vocals.  Their music is a mixture of Rheinhardt's compositions as well as standards sung in a multitude of languages and a few originals.

Their sound recalls a "hot club" in Paris, France, circa 1940's or an impromptu fireside concert outside a gypsy caravan.  AND THEY ARE PERFORMING ON THE PI(E) PATIO FOR FONDREN AFTER FIVE THIS THURSDAY!! 

 

Great music... free beer tasting.... fun times...  This is a very special show... what great and talented folks!
